recent updates: i say to you, cheap art

I posted about this a while ago, but thought I'd be irritating and repeat myself. If you want original art by me very cheaply, this month is the time. I cut everything in my Etsy shop down by at least fifty percent. Some of my doll assemblages are in there (Claire, The Devil, The Fool, and The Lovers). I normally sell these types of assemblages for forty to eighty dollars and I've marked them all down to twenty. There are also lots of drawings and a few paintings.

I am also willing to consider trades, my art for your art. Or other goods (especially of the expensive and hedonistic sort, like Black Phoenix Alchemy Lab or Lush).

At the beginning of March I'm planning on pulling most everything out to start fresh. I'm not radically changing my art or anything, I just need to clear out, start new, know what I mean? I want to send everything off to happy homes. New children need room to breathe.

Ahhhhgh. Still trying not to join etsy because it will be a money pit for me... and I have none anyway.

I want to clear out my older "children" too - I'd love to trade.

I'm the same way, I am always looking at everything I want to buy there, but can't afford.

I would love to trade with you, which piece or pieces from my store were you interested in? And what pieces of yours are available?

That's all that's actually in the gallery here and pretty new. Most of what I'd like to send to good homes is older work that I don't even have posted anywhere. Some of them are large and would need care for shipping, but I'm willing to work around that if you are (perhaps take things off stretchers etc.) Let me put together a bunch of photos and post in scraps or send to you if noting here interests you.

Oh my, I love all these of those paintings. I mean sheer adoration. Especially the second and third ones. Seriously amazing work.

Hmmm, how do we do this? I would gladly trade a doll for a painting, or more than one if you were willing to trade more than one.

I could also spot some of the cash for shipping, if it is extremely expensive, and anything you had to do to ship safely like taking them off stretchers is fine with me. I know what an awkward sort of job it is to ship art.

Let me know. I'm very excited about this....I hardly ever get the chance to get my hands on art by other artists I love.

I really like "Claire" and "The Fool". If either of those seems to be a fair trade to you for any one of mine, that would be easiest since they are all small (neither is larger than 11.75" on the long side), easily shipable and are right here and not stored away. IRL the skulls are actually on a piece of bristol intentionally cut not-square, just to let you know - the corners are all distorted somewhat. I was lazy when I uploaded it here so I just cropped the scan.

All the other trades I've done (portrait swaps and Rip show pieces) we just pm'd addresses and shipped to each other. If you don't want to worry about a descrepancy in shipping (I'm betting an altered doll will cost more than an approximately 8"x10" on paper) I could pay-pal you the difference. However you want to do it. Do you have to go through etsy since those are posted there? If so we can work around that too I'm sure (I'll just have to bite the bullet and sign up there in that case I guess. It would be a good excuse to anyway...)

How's about I trade you "Claire" for "Cut and Run"? You don't have to worry about shipping or anything, I think it would work to be about even, she's a bit flatter than some others I've shipped.

Don't worry about signing up with Etsy if you don't want to right now, all I have to do is remove the listing.

I got it! Thank you! I love the colors in this piece soooooo much.

I apologize, but I haven't out Claire in the mail yet. She needs to have hardware put on the back so you can hang her and my fiance, who does that sort of thing for me most times, has been extremely busy. I promise I will have it out by Wednesday, though. I am really sorry to be late with this, I am usually veyr punctual about getting things in the mail but the past week has been crazy!
